Element 3D has been my favourite 3D plugin for a number of years now.
What makes Element 3D so great is how fast it is to use and more importantly how quick it renders.
It allows you to quickly sketch out ideas and try different lighting and composition setups without the complication and slow render times of traditional 3D apps, making it great for concept design.
Andrew over at Video Copilot recently created a futuristic snow scene using Element 3D. It inspired me to try and create something similar using the Future City model pack available for free over at Video Copilot.
I started out with just a basic plane and then arranged various models from the Future City pack on top of it. I then textured the buildings and the plane using the VFXER Materials Bundle.
I then added a human 3D model created in Adobe Fuse to give the buildings scale. I then color graded and added optical flares for added lighting effects.
