The quantum realm is a fictional dimension where the laws of physics and space-time are different from the normal world.
The tutorial explains how to use Element 3D and After Effects, to create a realistic and dynamic scene of shrinking into the quantum realm.
To create the effect, the video guides you through five steps, each focusing on a different aspect. First, you learn how to use Element 3D to add rocks to the scene and scatter them with random scale and rotation for depth and scale. Next, you see how to animate stock photos of clouds with the liquify effect to make the background. Then, you discover how to use the Trapcode Mir plugin from Red Giant to generate the fractal energy beams. After that, you find out how to move the camera and add motion blur for realism.
