Maxon have just announced a very exciting update to CINEMA 4D.
CINEMA 4D Release 16 has been updated with numerous useful new features that will definitely speed up your workflow and make this version an easy decision to upgrade to.
Here’s a list of some of the major features:
Reflectance Channel
CINEMA 4D R16 has had a major overhaul of it’s materials system, allowing for multi-layered materials and surfaces that look absolutely stunning. The new Reflectance channel allows you to create materials in a similar way to VRay, allowing for impressive and complex looking car paint and textile surfaces.
Motion Tracking Inside CINEMA 4D
CINEMA 4D Release 16 now has it’s own Motion Tracker inside CINEMA 4D, so you can seamlessly integrate your 3D elements with your footage without the need to switch to another program such as After Effects. This is a feature I know a lot of users have been waiting for.
New CINEMA 4D Sculpting Tools
R16 of CINEMA 4D has been enhanced with a number of improvements to the sculpting system. You can now bring in high resolution meshes into CINEMA 4D and convert to low resolution meshes using the new Sculpt tags, without losing any intricate detail on your mesh.
Poly-Pen
The new Poly-Pen feature allows you to paint in 3D space with polygons, just like you would paint, greatly improving modelling workflow and great for re-topologizing meshes.
New Object and Material Library
Be inspired by a whole new collection of objects and materials for CINEMA 4D R16 that will speed up your workflow and help you create great looking projects.
