ZBrush Features

ZBrush ships with an entirely rebuilt retopology feature called ZRemesher. Sculpting 3D models often leads to high polygon counts and meshes that aren’t suitable for animating because of poor topology. This means that the 3D artist has to go through the long and painful process of retopologizing their 3D model. 3D software companies have tried for years to come up with an automatic computer based solution to this problem with only limited success.

ZRemesher analyzes the curvature of your model using it’s new algorithms and is almost as precise as the human eye. With just one click, ZRemesher will analyze your mesh and create ideal, animation ready topology, saving you hours of frustrating and boring work. This single click workflow is all you will need in most cases, but if you have a particularly tricky model, you can still dial in your own custom settings. You are able to decide where on your model you would like more or less polygons, to create that perfect topology.

Brushes
ZBrush has always been the best sculpting program when it comes to its brush system. This has got even better in ZBrush with the Trim Curve brushes, which allows you to cut your models in such a way that it deletes the affected polygons rather than pushing them to the stroke line. The Bridge Curve brush allows you to select an opening or crease edge and connect it to another to create a bridge of polygons.
DynaMesh now preserves PolyGroups.
After using Mesh Insert or Mesh Fusion its now easier to do Group or Panel Looping on a Dynamesh.
Group Front Function
This detects which polygons face the camera and puts them inside of their own group. This allows you to create special effects such as the deformation of only the parts of your model that face the camera.
